Pilely Product Terms
Last updated: October 21, 2026
These Product Terms (the "Terms") govern your use of pilely.app and related services (the "Service") provided by Pilely ("Pilely", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Pilely lets you build, deploy, and host apps through the AI agent client of your choice. We store your source bundles so you can resume your work anywhere. Your data is private; see our Privacy Policy for how we handle it.
2. Your account and credentials
- You are responsible for the security of your account credentials, including the JWT tokens issued to your AI agent client.
- You must store JWT tokens securely within your agent client. If your agent client mishandles or leaks your JWT or other credentials, and a third party uses them to perform malicious actions (including accessing, modifying, or destroying your data), Pilely is not responsible for the resulting damage.
- If you believe a token has been compromised, revoke it and log in again immediately.
3. AI agent clients
- You interact with Pilely through third-party AI agent clients (such as Claude, ChatGPT, or others). These clients are not operated by us. Data you send through them passes through their servers, which we do not control.
- We are not responsible for mistakes made by your AI agent client, including but not limited to deleting your apps or data, deploying unintended changes, or leaking your credentials. Actions taken by your agent client using your valid credentials are treated as actions taken by you.
4. Payments
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and stores your payment information; we do not store it.
- Prices, quotas, and pack sizes are listed in the Service's live subscription manuals.
5. Balance and billing accuracy
- Usage (such as traffic and storage) is metered against your balance and subscription. We try our best to keep billing records accurate.
- If a billing mistake occurs, we will fix it. You can raise a ticket at any time — see Contact — to inquire about your usage and billing records.
6. Prepaid credits, subscriptions, cancellation, and refunds
6.1 No refunds
- All payments are final and non-refundable. This covers prepaid credits, subscriptions, one-time charges, and domain registrations and renewals, whether used, partly used, or unused.
- The only exceptions are: (a) where a refund is required by applicable law or by a competent authority; (b) the correction of a billing mistake under Section 5; and (c) the backend server credit under Section 10. Any refund or credit we give outside these exceptions is a one-time courtesy at our sole discretion, and does not create an obligation to give one again, to you or to anyone else.
- If you dispute a payment with your bank or card issuer (a chargeback), we may remove what that payment bought — including removing its credits from your balance and ending its subscription immediately — and may suspend your account while the dispute is open.
- Repeatedly disputing payments without a valid reason is abuse of the Service. Examples include disputing charges for credits or subscriptions you bought and used, or disputing charges instead of cancelling a subscription as described in Section 6.3. We decide whether a dispute had a valid reason. If we find this kind of abuse, we may act under Section 8, including suspending or terminating your account and refusing you the Service in the future.
6.2 Prepaid credits
- Prepaid credits (your balance) never expire. Usage is drawn from your balance until it reaches zero; when it reaches zero, the affected parts of the Service stop until you buy more.
- Credits are tied to the one Pilely account that bought or received them. Credits cannot be transferred, sold, gifted, pooled, or moved between accounts — including between accounts that belong to the same person or organization — and cannot be exchanged for cash or anything else.
- Credits have no cash value. Credits we give free of charge (such as a starting credit for new accounts) are subject to the same rules.
- Credits left on your balance are forfeited, with no refund, when your account is deleted (at your request or under Sections 8 and 13).
6.3 Subscriptions and cancellation
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, and are charged to your payment method on file, until you cancel.
- You can cancel a subscription at any time through the Stripe billing portal, where you can also see your invoices and update your payment card. To get a link to the portal, ask Pam or your AI agent client.
- When you cancel, the subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period and then expires automatically; it does not renew. The remaining unused portion of the current period is not refunded, in money or in credits.
- One exception, which is stated again before you pay for it: a subscription that pays for a custom address ends immediately, with no refund, if you delete the app it belongs to, release the address, or move that app to a different address.
- A subdomain of a domain you own is a one-time charge, not a subscription.
- A domain registered through us has a registration term with its own expiry, and may be set to auto-renew on your behalf. That is a domain renewal, not a subscription cancellable under this section; your domain's current expiry and auto-renew state are shown in the live domain manuals.
6.4 Final interpretation
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pilely has the final right to interpret this Section 6, including what counts as a billing mistake, whether a payment or credit falls under an exception, and how a refund or credit, if any, is made. Nothing in this Section limits any right you have under applicable law that cannot be waived by contract.
7. Your data and content
- You retain ownership of the source bundles and content you upload. You grant us only the rights needed to store, build, and serve them as part of operating the Service.
- We do not train AI or LLM models on your data, and we do not sell it or share it with third parties beyond the providers we need to run the Service. See the Privacy Policy.
- You can request full deletion of all your data at any time by submitting a support ticket.
8. Acceptable use and abuse of the Service
You may not use the Service to:
- host or distribute unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive content;
- host or distribute malware, phishing pages, or content that infringes others' rights (including intellectual property rights);
- attack, overload, probe, or disrupt the Service, its infrastructure, or other users;
- circumvent quotas, metering, billing, or security controls;
- repeatedly dispute payments (chargebacks) without a valid reason (see Section 6.1);
- engage in spam, abuse, harassment, or any other activity we reasonably consider harmful to the Service or its users.
We do not proactively check your private content. However, other parties (such as other users or authorities) may report your content. In such cases — always abiding by our Privacy Policy and applicable law — we may review the reported content internally, and may disclose it to law authorities where legally required.
We hold the ultimate authority to determine what constitutes abuse. If we find abuse, illegal activity, or any other violation of these Terms, we may — at our sole discretion and without prior notice — suspend or terminate your account, remove or disable the offending content, and refuse to offer the Service to any user, now or in the future. We may also report illegal activity to the relevant authorities where required or permitted by law. Fees already paid are not refunded upon termination for abuse, except where a refund is required by applicable law.
9. Availability, third parties, and data loss
- We try our best to keep the Service available and your data safe, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee any level of uptime. Any part of the Service may slow down, be interrupted, or stop at any time, with or without notice, including for maintenance.
- We rely on third-party providers (cloud hosting such as AWS and Cloudflare, storage, payments). If a third-party provider's outage, failure, or mistake causes downtime or data loss, we are not responsible for that loss, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
- Keep your own copies of source bundles and data that are important to you.
10. Backend servers
When your app has a backend server that Pilely builds and runs for you:
- A backend server can be interrupted, restarted, replaced, or stopped at any time. This can happen because of a technical problem on our side, an outage or problem at an upstream provider (such as AWS), a hardware or network failure, a software fault, or maintenance. While a server is down, your app may not work, and anything the server kept only in its memory or on its own disk may be lost.
- We work hard to keep backend servers running smoothly and to bring them back quickly, including replacing a server that has crashed. We do not guarantee that a backend server will run without interruption.
- We are not responsible for any loss, damage, or cost that you, your app's users, or anyone else suffers because a backend server was interrupted or stopped, including lost revenue, lost or corrupted data, missed jobs, and failed requests.
- Our only obligation is a refund of the charges you paid for that server for the period it was not running, as a credit to your Pilely balance. To claim it, raise a ticket — see Contact. This refund is your sole and exclusive remedy for a backend server interruption.
- Build with interruptions in mind: keep important data in durable storage (such as Pilely's database or file storage), not only on the server, and keep your own backups.
11. Domains registered through Pilely
- A domain you buy through Pilely is registered with Cloudflare Registrar in Pilely's Cloudflare account, with you as the registrant. While it stays there, it is managed through the Service and can serve your Pilely apps.
- You may request that the domain be moved to your own Cloudflare account, by raising a ticket — see Contact. We handle these requests manually. A move is available only if you no longer want to use the domain with Pilely: once it is moved, the domain will not be used for any Pilely app again, by you or anyone else. Every app it points to and every subdomain of it stops being served, and subdomains you bought under it end with no refund.
- A move is to a Cloudflare account only; we do not transfer domains to other registrars. Cloudflare's own conditions apply, including: the domain must have been registered more than 10 days earlier; you must add the domain to your Cloudflare account and accept the move there within the time Cloudflare allows; and Cloudflare locks the domain against further transfers for a period after the move.
- Only the registration moves. DNS records and other settings are not carried over; you set them up again in your own account.
- After the move, the domain's renewals and costs are between you and Cloudflare. We stop renewing it and do not refund the registration fee or any part of its current term.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pilely's total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. For an interruption of a backend server, the only remedy is the refund described in Section 10. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time by submitting a support ticket. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms (including Section 8), with notice where practicable — except in cases of abuse or illegal activity, where we may act immediately and without notice.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Translations
We may provide translations of these Terms for your convenience. The English version is the official version: if a translation differs from it, the English version prevails, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
